The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing is proud to serve as an authorized American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center (TX21038). We are dedicated to advancing life-saving education and preparedness across our campus and community.
Our comprehensive suite of AHA certification courses equips students, faculty, staff, healthcare professionals, and the public with vital emergency response skills. Participants gain the confidence and knowledge needed to respond effectively in emergencies, contributing to a safer, more resilient community.

Certification Requirements
To receive your AHA course completion card, participants must:
- Attend and actively participate in the entire course
- Pass required skills tests (adult & infant)
- Score a minimum of 84% on the exam
Note: Certification may be withheld if participants cannot demonstrate the required skills.

AHA Certification e-Cards (Instructor Only)
Affiliated AHA Instructors with UT Austin School of Nursing may purchase BLS and Heartsaver certification eCards online. AHA 2020 certification eCards may only be purchased by instructors who have successfully completed the AHA 2020 Update Training and have been verified by the Training Center Coordinator (TCC).
