The University of Texas at Austin tower was lit burnt orange during the weekend of Dec. 7-9 to honor 3,100 students who graduated at the end of the fall semester.
Of those graduates, 95 were from the School of Nursing. School officials report that of the 95, 65 were undergraduates, 28 received MSN degrees and two were doctoral students.
The commemorations for the School of Nursing took place at Bass Concert Hall, Performing Arts Center, and keynote speaker was Toni Inglis, MSN, RN, CNS, FAAN, who is a clinical nurse specialist and was an Outstanding Graduate Student from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992.
This year’s outstanding students were Alexandra Helene Anthony (BSN), Kristen Maxine Layton and Kimberly Anette Lewis (MSN), and Bertha Eloisa Flores (PhD).
