Title: Hospital Simulation Day Visiting Hours
Time: Attend a one-hours session starting at 9 am, 10 am, 5 pm, or 6 pm.
Location: 4.180 - School of Nursing | 1710 Red River, Austin, Texas
The School of Nursing is staging a Hospital Simulation (Sim) Day exercise, and you’re invited to “visiting hours.” Hospital Sim Day isn’t your typical student clinical experience! Fellow classmates — outfitted with a variety of simulated wounds, IV’s, and monitors — will serve as patients for undergraduate nursing students, presented with an evolving patient care environment. Dynamic scenarios will test the students’ abilities to react on their feet, cope with real-world situations, and apply critical thinking skills.
Join us to observe teaching methods and students engaged in experiential learning. Upon arrival, you’ll be oriented to the hospital simulation activity and in small groups will be able to directly observe School of Nursing students in action! Following your visit to our simulated hospital, there will be a chance for Q&A and to debrief.
Date: Wednesday, April 23, 2014
