Sheryl Innerarity, RN, PhD, FNP, ACNS, received both the 2014 Member Services Award and the State Award for Excellence at the Texas Nurse Practitioner's (TNP) American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) national meeting. The Member Services Award is presented to a current member of TNP and someone who has gone above and beyond for the organization. The Executive Committee selects the individual for the award and provides this information to the chair of the nominations and awards committee. The award does not have to be presented every year, but when it is, it is presented at the annual conference, which this year was held Sept. 4–7, 2014.

Innerarity is an associate professor for Clinical Nursing in the Adult Holistic Health Division. Her teaching responsibilities are primarily within the Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist Program.
