Research Area: Investigating the impact of cancer treatments on sleep, fatigue and quality of life.
Dr. Oxana Palesh is an associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Stanford University Medical Center. Her research is in the area of cancer control. She is primarily interested in investigating the impact of cancer treatments on sleep, fatigue and quality of life. Dr. Palesh’s current projects include investigating the impact of behavioral and pharmacological interventions on improving sleep, fatigue and quality of life in cancer patients and survivors. She is also investigating the relationship between dysregulation of the neuroendocrine stress response system, sleep problems, fatigue, and disease progression in cancer patients with primary and metastatic cancers.
