Eun-Ok Im Named Dean of the School of Nursing

Eun-Ok Im began her appointment as dean of the School of Nursing on Sept. 1. Im, who was recently the senior associate dean for research and innovation and the Edith Folsom Honeycutt Endowed Chair in the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University in Atlanta, succeeds Alexa Stuifbergen, who stepped down after 14 successful years as the school’s dean.

My responsibilities include oversight of the inpatient abdominal transplant program, the neurosciences service line, and advanced practice.”

He is married to another nurse, Kelly, and they have four adult children. “I am a critical care nurse by training and have mostly burn and trauma experience. I’ve deployed twice for about a year each time during Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003-2004) and Operation Enduring Freedom (2010-2011).”
