Camp Rules and Regulations
Important Items to Know (Arrival and Departure Policies, Parking, Medication Policy, and Meal Plan)
Camps are day camps only. No overnight accommodations are available.
Campers must arrange their own transportation. All arrivals and departures will take place at Lot 118 (red section on the map at MLK & IH35 access road). Camp counselors will greet campers on the sidewalk next to John W. Hargis Hall (1823 Red River St, Austin, TX 78701) and walk together to the Nursing School once all campers are checked in. Departure Policy: Only individuals listed on the camper’s registration form may pick up the child. If someone other than a parent (e.g., family member or neighbor) is authorized, their information must be included in the registration before camp begins. A valid photo ID is required at pickup.
Self-Driver: Parking is available for a fee (validation will not be provided) in Trinity Garage (TRG) or Health Center Garage (HCG), both located on Trinity St. View parking garages at UT Austin.
Medication Policy: All medications must be listed and properly logged in the camper’s registration. Unlisted medications will result in immediate dismissal from camp without refund. Please review this policy carefully during registration.
Meals: Campers will receive morning/afternoon snacks, lunch, and beverages during the day. Due to the immersive nature of the camp, it’s imperative that the camper eat a healthy/hearty breakfast to decrease the chances of feeling faint. Most high-fidelity nursing skills will take place after lunch, but campers will be introduced to medical terminology and supplies earlier in the day.

Sponsors
Thank you in advance for your consideration to sponsor the 2026 Longhorn Nursing Immersion Summer Camp. Your donation is extremely important and greatly appreciated.
Many families in our community are not able to cover the cost of camp tuition ($650.00) for their student. To provide a low-to-no cost tuition option for low-income students, we are asking for your support to meet our fundraising goal of $2,500.
Sponsors like you can help "Heal the World" with a small donation to further the education of a camper and future Texas Nursing student!
