News and Spotlights

The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing Community Climate and Care Committee is honored to recognize Pride Month. During the month of June, across the globe, Pride Month is celebrated in tribute to those involved in the Stonewall Riots. With parades, festivals and concerts taking place across the globe, there is an opportunity for you to get involved, learn social history and raise political awareness of current issues facing the LGBTQ community.

The Austin LGBT Chamber promotes economic vitality in our communities and strengthening LGBT and ally businesses. In 2019, Austin LGBT Chamber joined forces with our partner LGBT Chamber in Dallas, Houston and San Antonio to form the Texas LGBT Chamber.

LGBTQ+ Business Cross-Country

We invite you to join us for an LGBTQ+ Business Cross-Country Pride Event, a multi-chamber networking collaboration that will bring together LGBTQ+ and allied business owners, employees, and chamber stakeholders from 18 different NGLCC affiliates across the country.

On June 15th at 6pm, we'll come together and get to know one another better in Zoom breakout rooms, and kick off what we hope will be a regular series of events to better connect our members to our peers all over the nation. All are invited, but space is limited and registration is required.
