Speakers
Dean Alexa Stuifbergen, student representatives, and our convocation speaker, Dr. Mary Wakefield, will address the graduates. A convocation program will be given to each degree candidate at the ceremony.
Parking
All UT parking garages will be free and open to the public on Friday, May 24th. The San Jacinto Garage (2401 San Jacinto) and Manor Garage (2017 Robert Dedman Dr) are near Bass Concert Hall. Parking is also unrestricted in all “C” lots on these days. Disabled parking is available along the east side of Robert Dedman Drive. Please allow adequate time for parking. Academic Regalia
Academic Regalia Required: Caps and gowns can be obtained from the University Co-op. Complete information on purchase or rental of caps is available at the University Co-op website.
Invitations: Graduation announcements and invitations may be purchased at the Co-op as well as other locations. It takes about 3-5 business days after ordering to receive the invitations.
Guest Tickets: Tickets will not be needed for your guests and there is no limit on the number of guests you may invite to the School of Nursing ceremony.
Photography: A photographer will be at the ceremony to take pictures of each candidate as Dean Stuifbergen congratulates them. A card will be given to you to fill out for the announcement of your name prior to the ceremony. The photography company will also use the card to mail your photo and you will be given the opportunity at that time to make a purchase if you choose.
Bass Concert Hall Venue Policies
Bags brought into the venue must not exceed 14”w x 12”h x 6”d. Please return large bags to your vehicle - OR - Check your bag with Guest Services for a fee. Bags can be claimed when you are exiting the building.
PROHIBITED ITEMS: The following items may not be brought into the ceremony:

- Large Bags or Backpacks
- Large Signs
- Noise Makers
- Balloons
- Glass Vases
- Selfie-Sticks

Special Assistance for Graduates & Guests
Guests will enter Bass Concert Hall through the front lobby. The doors to the Concert Hall will open at approximately 11:15 am. Guests with mobility impairments should enter through the southeast front entrance of the Concert Hall (there is a ramp at this entrance) and should arrive by 11:15 am. A house manager will admit and seat these guests before the lobby opens.
