Course Overview: AHA BLS Provider and Heartsaver First Aid (Dual Certificates) is an AHA BLS Instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a life-threatening emergency. Skills covered in this course include Basic Life Support (BLS), use of a pocket mask, bag mask device, AED for adults, child and infant; choking relief in adults and infants; and to promptly recognize a First Aid emergency. The course teaches In Facility Provider (IFP) skills and allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning throughout the course.
This course consists of two sessions. The first session, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, will cover Basic Life Support (BLS) training. A scheduled lunch break will take place from 12:30 PM to 1:20 PM.
