Clinical Associate Professor 
The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing

Dr. Chris Abbyad’s primary research focus has been on perinatal racism as it affects maternal morbidity and mortality. An additional goal of hers has been to bring into the classroom the discussion of perinatal racism and the nurse's role in mitigating experiences of racism in the delivery of healthcare. Join us as we learn more about Dr. Chris Abbyad’s scholarship journey.
