Dr. Eileen Sullivan-Marx is Dean Emerita and Professor at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing and Professor Emerita at the University of Pennsylvania. A distinguished nursing leader, educator, and clinician, she has advanced primary care and innovative payment structures for nurses, particularly in Medicaid and Medicare. Her work focuses on sustainable care models for vulnerable older adults. A fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (AAN), she has served on numerous boards, including the United Hospital Fund and the Arnold P. Gold Foundation. As ANA’s representative to the AMA, she helped ensure fair compensation for nurse practitioners. As NYU Nursing Dean, she secured over $50M in funding and led through crises like Superstorm Sandy and COVID-19. She has received numerous awards, including AAN’s President’s Award and the 2023 Arnold P. Gold Foundation Gold Medal. A past AAN president, she regularly appears in major media and hosts a radio show.
