Speaker: Whitney Thurman, PhD, RN
Research Area:
Dr. Thurman is an Assistant Professor and an American Academy of Nursing Jonas Policy Scholar. She joined the faculty at the UTSON in August 2020 after completing her PhD at the UTSON in 2018 and a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in health outcomes research at the University of Texas College of Pharmacy. Her overall research interests center on studying the roots of health inequity with a particular focus on the intersections of disability and homelessness in order to understand how, when, and where to intervene to improve health and social outcomes.
