Jenny Williams obtained her BA in Organizational Management and held a career in leadership in the financial industry for 10 years before earning her BSN from Texas A&M Health Science Center. Jenny began her nursing career locally at St. David's Round Rock in the Emergency Department of a Level II Trauma center. Jenny quickly moved into preceptor, charge nurse, and supervisory positions with her background in leadership. In 2017 Jenny accepted a position at Baylor Scott & White as the Emergency Department Manager. Over the next 6 years and through COVID, Jenny earned her MSN in Healthcare Administration from UT Arlington and completed a Nurse Executive Fellowship through Southern Methodist University. Jenny advanced her career along with her education and became the hospital's Director of Nursing, overseeing ICU, IMC, Med-Surg, and opened a Neuro-ortho specialty unit. Jenny also oversaw contracted services for the hospital and helped lead the hospital's first Magnet Designation.
Jenny co-chaired the Baylor Scott & White System Emergency Department Council which developed competencies, policies, and performance improvement activities for the entire system. Jenny also led her teams to achieve many records for the hospitals to include employee engagement, patient satisfaction, turnover decrease, contract labor reduction, retention increase, and improved patient outcomes.
Jenny's passion lies in teaching and leading effective teams. She has recently transitioned out of hospital leadership into teaching, also allowing her more time to serve the community. She is the president-elect of Austin Chapter of the Emergency Nurses Association, and teaches CPR and Stop-the-Bleed to the community.
