Graduation Ceremonies
As part of the Commencement celebration across the Forty Acres, the School of Nursing graduation ceremony, Convocation, is held each May and celebrates undergraduate and graduate degree candidates from the past Fall, current Spring and upcoming Summer semesters. This special occasion recognizes the incredible dedication and hard work of our students, as well as the invaluable support of their families, friends, mentors, faculty and staff. This webpage will be updated with important information as we approach the ceremony in May.
The University-wide Commencement Ceremony takes place each May at Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium and serves as the grand finale of graduation weekend. This special event brings together graduates from across the University to celebrate their accomplishments with a distinguished speaker, the conferring of degrees by the University president and the iconic lighting of the UT Tower in burnt orange. The celebration concludes with a spectacular fireworks display. Graduates who wish to participate must secure a graduate ticket to access seating on the field. Ticketing details will be shared via email in late April.
