The Texas Department of State Health Services has announced continued funding through August 2027 for the evidence-based "Interprofessional Curriculum Approach to Alzheimer's and Other Dementias" project. This $1.45 million initiative is designed to strengthen dementia care training for future healthcare providers over four years (FY24-FY27).

For first-generation BSN student Devora Solomon, nursing is more than a career path; it’s a calling shaped by family, culture and compassion. Born in Eritrea, a small East African country, and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Solomon brings a unique global perspective to her journey as a student at The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing.

PhD student Merci Paulhill has been selected as a 2026 Graduate Archer Fellow, an honor that will place her in Washington, D.C., this summer to live, learn and lead alongside graduate students from across The University of Texas System.
