Keela Herr, PhD, RN, AGSF, FGSA, FAAN, Kelting professor in nursing and associate dean for faculty at the University of Iowa College of Nursing, is the recipient of the 2019 Doris Schwartz Gerontological Nursing Research Award. This award is presented to a Gerontological Society of America (GSA) member who has a record of outstanding and sustained contribution to geriatric nursing research.
Dr. Herr will be formally presented with the Doris Schwartz Gerontological Nursing Research Award during GSA’s Annual Scientific Meeting, which will be held November 13-17 in Austin, Texas.
Dr. Herr received her MSN and PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 1977 and 1986, respectively. She received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2010.
