Dr. Megan Lippe

Megan Lippe, PhD, MSN, RN, was one of ten finalists selected to join the Cambia Health Foundation’s Sojourns Scholar Leadership Program. Candidates from across the country, disciplines and practice settings were required to meet rigorous standards to demonstrate themselves as palliative care leaders. Each scholar will receive $180,000 in funding towards their individualized proposal to impact and innovate within the palliative care field.

Dr. Lippe’s ambitious plan is bilateral. First, train and mobilize APRN’s to deliver end of life services to rural areas of Alabama, then mentor the nursing team in leadership and advocacy. With the latter part of their training APRN’S will engage with state leaders on how to best improve the quality of life for Alabama’s most vulnerable.
