UT Austin School of Nursing

The latest edition of “Best Graduate Schools” in U.S. News & World Report once again ranks The University of Texas at Austin as one of the top public universities in the nation based on the depth and bread of its graduate programs.

The UT Austin School of Nursing remains the top nursing school in Texas in both the Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs, and No. 12 nationally among public schools in MSN and No. 15 in DNP programs. Across all public and private programs, the School of Nursing is ranked No. 23 in MSN programs and No. 24 in DNP programs, according to the publication. These rankings are among the most authoritative and prestigious ratings in higher education.

Each year, U.S. News & World Report ranks business, education, engineering, law, nursing and medical schools and programs around the nation based on expert opinions regarding program excellence and statistical indicators measuring the quality of a school’s faculty, research and students.

“The UT Austin School of Nursing has long been renowned for excellent graduate programs focused on educating top-notch practitioners, researchers and faculty to meet the growing need for a more equitable delivery of health care. Having these efforts recognized by this prestigious publication lets us know we are on the right track,” said Alexa Stuifbergen, dean of the School of Nursing. “I am so proud of our faculty, whose knowledge and expertise — and enthusiasm — provide our students the best in nursing education, ensuring that we will continue to excel and grow for years to come.”
