The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing launched the Social Media Ambassador Program, beginning in Spring 2025. This initiative aims to highlight the vibrant community within the School through the authentic voices of nursing students.
The program includes five inaugural student ambassadors who are collaborating closely with Communications Coordinator, Kerry Steinhofer, to create engaging short-form videos on Instagram. These ambassadors showcase student life, academic opportunities and the impact of nursing education, offering a behind-the-scenes look at what makes the UT Austin School of Nursing so special.
“This program is a wonderful opportunity to amplify student voices and bring fresh, creative perspectives to our social media platforms,” Steinhofer said. “It’s exciting to work with such talented students who are passionate about sharing their journey and inspiring others.”
By participating in this program, ambassadors not only represent the School of Nursing but also gain valuable skills in digital storytelling and social media management. Another goal for the program is to inspire current and prospective students while celebrating the dedication and passion that define our nursing community.
