A delegation from Taipei Medical University (TMU) visited The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing in January. The visit provided an opportunity to explore potential collaborations in research, education and clinical practice, further strengthening the University’s commitment to global engagement.

“We were honored to host the TMU delegation,” said Dr. Julie Zuñiga, interim director of the Center for Global Nursing and Health. “They are global leaders in public health and safety. There are so many different areas in which UT and the School of Nursing can collaborate with TMU.”

UT Austin has cultivated robust institutional partnerships with top universities in Taiwan, fostering academic exchange and collaboration. Notably, at least 39 UT alumni currently hold faculty positions at prestigious higher education institutions across Taiwan, including National Taiwan University and National Taiwan Normal University.

The School of Nursing's leadership in these agreements emphasizes its commitment to global engagement and advancing health care education through international collaboration.

By working with esteemed institutions in Taiwan, the School of Nursing continues to foster innovative research, cultural exchange and educational excellence.
