The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing continues to be a leader in nursing education, climbing in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings for 2025. The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program has been ranked #12 overall, reflecting the program’s dedication to excellence in nursing education, research and clinical practice. 

Among public universities, the UT Austin School of Nursing made an impressive jump to #6, up two spots from last year’s ranking. This achievement highlights the program’s national recognition and its commitment to preparing highly skilled nurses and leaders in health care. 

The School of Nursing continues to hold the top spot in Texas for its MSN program, reaffirming its reputation as the premier choice for nursing students in the state. 

“These rankings highlight the outstanding faculty, students and staff who contribute to the success of our programs,” said Dean Eun-Ok Im, PhD, MPH, RN, CNS, FAAN. “We are proud of our continued growth and the impact we are making in health care and nursing education.”
