Yaolin Pei, PhD, assistant professor at The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing, has been awarded the prestigious R00 award from the National Institute on Aging to advance research that supports Chinese American dementia caregivers in making informed, culturally sensitive decisions about feeding their loved ones.

The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing provided Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification to eighteen attendees at the Quality in Long Term Care Conference (QLTCC), held at the Renaissance Hotel in Austin on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025.

Alexsis Torres, senior program coordinator for clinical placements at The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing, received the SON Star Award for Texas Nursing staff in August 2025.

In July 2025, The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing hosted 14 visiting nursing scholars and faculty from Hungkuang University in Taiwan for a vibrant two-week educational and cultural exchange.
