Jung Kwak, PhD, MSW, FGSA, associate professor at The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing, has been awarded a Faculty Travel Planning Grant from Texas Global to support a cross-national collaboration aimed at advancing person-centered dementia care in aging societies.

The inaugural NURSING-AI Challenge at The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing brought together nursing faculty and students from across disciplines to imagine what’s possible when artificial intelligence is applied to real-world challenges in nursing. Held in May 2025, the event invited eight teams to unveil tools designed to improve patient care, education and decision-making, using some of today’s most advanced AI technology.

In May 2025, Linda Yoder, PhD, MBA, RN, AOCN, FAAN, AMSN, professor emerita, and Li-Chen Lin, PhD, RN, CNRN, clinical assistant professor, visited academic nursing institutions in Taiwan to strengthen international educational partnerships and share their expertise in evidence-based practice and nursing leadership.

The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing welcomes Linda Kim, PhD, MSN, RN, a distinguished nurse scientist, educator and global health leader, as a new faculty member and director of the Center for Global Nursing and Health (CGNH).
