Biography

Dr. Linda Kim, PhD, MSN, RN, PHN, CPHQ, CGNC is an Associate Professor in the Family, Public Health, and Nursing Leadership Division and Director of the Center for Global Nursing and Health at the School of Nursing. Her research focuses on evaluating the effects of multi-level (e.g., organizational, healthcare provider, patient level) structures and processes on healthcare provider and patient outcomes. Dr. Kim’s current research focuses on evaluating the relationship between the work environment and self-reported levels of burnout of healthcare workers. She also serves as a Principal Investigator and co-investigator on several other collaborative projects aimed at promoting healthcare worker well-being, including the NIMH R01 study exploring SARS-CoV-2 infection and the social determinant of health (SDOH) impact on neuroinflammation that is associated with depression.

Dr. Kim received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern California and her Master of Science in Nursing and PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles. She completed her post-doctoral training in evidence-based quality improvement methods and implementation science through the Veterans Administration Quality Scholars (VAQS) Program and health services research training through the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and UCLA School of Public Health.
