Chris Divin, PhD, RN, FNP-BC, clinical assistant professor, and Nicole Manley, MSN, RN, CHSE, CA-SANE, director of the Simulation and Skills Center and interim director for the LEAP Center, at The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing, recently presented their research at the 25th Nursing Network on Violence Against Women International Conference in Phuket, Thailand.
The conference, themed “Promoting Health Equity to End Gender-Based Violence: Innovations in Research, Practice, & Advocacy,” brought together experts from around the world to address critical issues surrounding gender-based violence.
Through their presentations and engagement, Divin and Manley contributed to global conversations about advancing research, practice and advocacy in the fight against gender-based violence.
Divin’s presentation, “Respect for Self, Others, and Place: A Comprehensive Framework for Health and Healing in IPV Prevention and Intervention,” introduced a holistic approach to addressing intimate partner violence.
Manley, who is also a Nursing PhD student, presented “Technology Perspectives and Health-Seeking Behaviors in Chinese Immigrant Women with Negative Sexual Experiences: A Secondary Analysis,” offering insights into the intersection of technology and health-seeking behaviors in vulnerable populations.
