Dr. Eduardo Chávez and Dr. Amber N. Sherman, Clinical Assistant Professors at The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing, were invited to participate in the Faculty Development and Leadership in Palliative Care Workshop, held July 16–17, 2026, at the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon.
The two-day workshop brought together nursing faculty from across the United States and internationally to explore innovative teaching strategies, educational resources, and approaches to evaluating student learning while advancing palliative care education in undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.
Drs. Chávez and Sherman look forward to applying insights gained from the workshop to enhance palliative care education, curriculum development, and student learning at UT Austin School of Nursing.
