In Spring 2024, The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing honored several distinguished faculty members with the Dean’s Excellence Awards.
These annual awards, presented by the Dean, recognize outstanding professional track and tenured/tenure-track faculty in research/quality improvement, scholarship/dissemination and service. Additionally, two special awards are given for excellence in mentorship and global and community nursing.
Julie Zuñiga, PhD, RN, FAAN, associate professor, received the Dean’s Excellence Award in Global & Community Nursing.
Veronica Walker, PhD, RN, CNE, clinical associate professor, and Yang Li, PhD, RN, assistant professor, received the Dean’s Excellence Awards in Scholarship.
Jennifer Flippo, DNP, APRN, CPNP-PC, PMHS, CNEcl, clinical assistant professor, and Lorraine Walker, RN, EdD, MPH, Luci B. Johnson Centennial Professor, received the Dean’s Excellence Awards in Service.
