Johnson-Turpin Center: News and Events

The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing has expanded its global reach through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the College of Nursing Art and Science at the University of Hyogo in Japan. The agreement, formalized in October 2025, establishes a long-term partnership focused on international exchange, collaborative research and shared educational opportunities for nursing students and faculty.

Whether leading cheers or caring for patients, BSN student Arielle Robinson brings energy, dedication and teamwork to everything she does. A junior at The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing and a member of the Texas White Squad cheerleading team, she exemplifies what it means to be a Longhorn.

Bruce Machona, MSN, RN, a PhD student at The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing graduating in Fall 2025, is driven by a personal and professional mission: to improve maternal health for women living with gestational diabetes, particularly in resource-limited settings, like his native country of Zimbabwe.
