Participation Eligibility
Participants must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Have been diagnosed with breast cancer in the past.
- Be able to read and write in English, Mandarin Chinese, Korean, or Japanese.
- Have access to the Internet.
- Identify as Chinese, Korean, or Japanese.
- Have experienced pain within the past week.
- Have experienced depressive symptoms within the past two weeks.
Study Procedures
If you are eligible and choose to participate, you will be involved in the study for 3 months. Once registered, a computer program will randomly assign you to one of two groups: either the first technology-based program (Group 1) or the second technology-based program (Group 2). Both groups will use a Fitbit device, which will help you and the research team monitor your physical activity and heart rate.
- If assigned to Group 1 (first technology-based program):
- You will complete an online questionnaire three times during the study, with each survey taking approximately 30 minutes.
- You will use the first technology-based program for the entire 3-month period.
- If assigned to Group 2 (second technology-based program):
- You will complete the same online questionnaire three times, each requiring about 30 minutes.
- You will use the second technology-based program for the full 3 months.
