The LEAP Center provides American Heart Association (AHA) courses to UT students, faculty, and the community. We offer a quiet study area, individual study rooms, and several computer stations for student and faculty use.

Resources
Computer Testing Center (CTC)
The Computer Testing Center (CTC) provides a designated area to School of Nursing students, faculty, and staff for classroom use and restricted class exams. A private room equipped with 12 computers/webcam capability and UT Print services can be reserved by faculty, staff, and nursing students.
CTC Location: NUR 3.166
Spring and Fall Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm & Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Summer Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00 pm
Room Reservation: Faculty may reserve the CTC through the online room reservation system. Please review the LEAP CTC Policy (PDF).
*Note: PCs are not equipped to run with third party lockdown browser’s; Kaplan, Respondus.
Supplies available for check-out: (Faculty, Staff, Students)
- Diagnostic kit w/tuning fork and eye chart
- Glow germ and black light
- BP cuffs
- Stethoscopes

LEAP Center
The LEAP Center on the 3rd floor is a designated space for all nursing students to quietly study and utilize following resources.
- Commons area for studying
- 3 Study Rooms – Reserve a Room | 3rd Floor Study Room Policy (PDF)
- Nursing reference materials located across from the UT Printer (bookshelf)
- Popcorn Thursday’s: 3 pm – 5 pm
- 3 desktop PCs for student use

Compliance Certification: American Heart Association CPR Classes
UT Austin School of Nursing offers quality American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR, First Aid, and Heartsaver classes to UT Austin employees & students, healthcare professionals, and community members who require certification for employment. UT Austin School of Nursing faculty and staff are not required to submit payment.
The LEAP Center is an AHA approved training site aligned with Texas State University - St. David’s School of Nursing Training Center.
