Due to ongoing Covid19 and campus restrictions, we have modified our BLS and First Aid classes to reflect the recommendations of the American Heart Association (AHA) and community policy. The classes have been set up to reflect the recommendations and shortened for our health & safety. These restrictions include:

  • Limit classroom census to recommended official room capacity
  • Avoid Close Contact (6ft) and limit interaction between students
  • Face masks must be worn at all times
  • Wash hands and cover sneezes/coughs – use hand sanitizer regularly
  • Adhere to AHA Covid19 classroom recommendations – No pocket masks and 1-1 checks
  • If you are sick – don’t come to class

If you have any questions pertaining to CPR or First-Aid, please email BLSClasses@nursing.utexas.edu.
