Linda Kim Receives NIMH R01 Grant to Study COVID-19, Social Determinants, and Depression Risk

The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing is proud to announce that Linda Kim, PhD, MSN, RN, PHN, CPHQ, CGNC, associate professor and director for the Center for Global Nursing and Health, has been awarded a highly competitive National Institute of Mental Health R01 Grant. This five-year award will support her project titled “SARS-CoV-2 and Social Determinants of Health Impact on Inflammation Associated Depression Risk (SSIDR).”

Yang Li Receives Hillman Foundation Award

Yang Li, PhD, RN, assistant professor at The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing, has been awarded a prestigious grant from the Rita and Alex Hillman Foundation to advance an innovative project aimed at supporting Chinese immigrant women who are survivors of intimate partner violence.

Jaime Lee Elected to National Board Supporting Nursing Research

The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing is proud to share that Jaime Lee, chief of staff and communications, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Friends of the National Institute of Nursing Research (FNINR). Her two-year term will run from Jan. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2027.
