American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification is an instructor led course that teaches both single and multi-rescuer BLS skills for adults, children, and infants, how to use an AED/BMV, and choking relief in adults/infants for application in either pre-hospital or in-facility environments, 100% classroom training means students are with an AHA instructor for their entire learning experience. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion eCard, valid for two years.

The American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification Renewal course is designed for healthcare professionals and students who need to maintain their certification and demonstrate continued competency in high-quality CPR and basic cardiovascular life support. Participants must hold a current, valid AHA BLS Provider Certification to enroll; expired certifications are not accepted. Individuals whose certification has expired, or who are seeking initial certification, should register for the AHA BLS Provider (CPR) Certification Course.

Internal transfer applicants are current UT Austin undergraduate in a non-nursing major who applies to transfer into the School of Nursing in order to pursue the BSN degree. To apply, visit the Office of Admissions: Internal Transfer.

The Center for Health Interprofessional Practice and Education will host its 8th Annual Interprofessional Health Showcase on April 17, 2026. Students and residents will share their projects that pertain to person-centered care and/or population health and that fall into one of the following categories: research, quality improvement, community engagement, or health innovation.

The Center for Professional Development and Scholarship (CPDS) presents a Junior Faculty CV Development Workshop. This session is designed to help junior faculty strengthen their curriculum vitae (CV) through practical, hands-on guidance. Participants will receive informal feedback from senior faculty on CV organization, clarity, and alignment with academic expectations. Attendees are encouraged to bring a current draft of their CV.
