Cognitive and Psychological Function of Newly Diagnosed Patients with Melanoma Study

""

Study Overview

If you have been recently diagnosed with melanoma and you are scheduled to receive surgery, you may be eligible to participate in our study! We are enrolling cancer patients who are at least 21 years old, use a smartphone, and have access to a computer with internet and a keyboard.

In this study we hope to learn more about how to measure the impact of melanoma diagnosis and treatment on how patients think, feel, and function in their everyday life, from pre surgery to post survey. We aim to study cognitive functioning “in the wild'' (i.e., in the context of everyday life), where it matters most. This study is being conducted at the UT Health Austin Surgical Oncology Clinic with Dr. Alex Haynes and represents a collaboration between the School of Nursing and the Dell Medical School.
